Jeff Schoen was formally trained at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Informally worldwide, having traveled extensively. During the late eighties and throughout the nineties he founded and operated Harmony Scenic, a company providing full creative service to a nationwide film industry. Offering Production Design, Set Design / Fabrication, and a complete execution of mechanical Special Effects, he designed and Art Directed over 1200 commercials with clients including, Miller Brewing, Timex, Target and Best Buy.
During the last five years he has focused his creative efforts on feature film and long format work. In 2003, he designed the film "Justice", shot in and around the Twin Cities, directed by John Schulman and Jeane Marie Almonor. In '04, he was Minnesota Art Director on Niki Carro's "North Country" and in '05, had "the gift" as he put's it, to have Art Directed Robert Altman's final film "Prairie Home Companion".
He currently lives near Taylors Falls Minnesota with his family on No Harm Farm, an animal rescue and sanctuary for kids young and old, kids his age as well.
